Yes, you did read that right — we are going to buy your stash. During our Out with the old, In with the new event, beginning tomorrow, January 22, and running through Saturday, February 3, we’ll buy your unwanted stash yarn for $1.00 a pound. You’ll get a credit slip in the appropriate amount to be used on purchases that day. The yarn you sell will find a good home at one of several worthy organizations around town.
We’ll also buy your UFOs — those projects that are never going to be finished and are just hanging around, making you feel guilty about knitting anything else. Bring the poor dears to us, with yarn ball attached, and we’ll give you a credit slip for $1.00 per pound, to be used on purchases that day. These will be donated to a one woman show being produced by actress Kristina Wong, who is using knitting as a metaphor for life. If you include your name and reason for abandoning the project on a card with the knitting, you’ll be credited in the show program.
Continuing with the use-your-stash theme, we’re declaring Thursday nights to be Knit from Your Stash night. Come join us from 5:00 to 7:00 and knit up your stash yarn already!
Announcing our very first style show! Mark your calendars — February 12 is the date, 7:00 - 9:00 is the time, Yarn Expressions is the place. We’ll be showcasing beautiful designs from Aurora Yarns bevy of yarn companies, Garnstudio, Ornaghi and Steinbach, with sweaters for adults and young folk, modeled by customers and staff. We’ll also have on hand a trunk show of bags from Jordana Paige, goody bags for everyone, live music, nummy treats and discounts on the kits and bags featured at this event. Tickets are $15, we only have room for 24 people, and February 12 is coming up fast, so hurry in and get your ticket soon.

Well Meg, I guess I will have to dig out that #@#@#@#@##@ Berroco suede tote I started…..52 times!!!!!!!!!!!! You know the one! I WILL FINISH IT…..someday!! Thanks for the sit and knit opportunities. I know of some evening sessions like that in Asheville NC and have been kidding the shop owner there that the commute is just too difficult on a regular basis! (;o) Now I won’t have to travel! My daughter and I are looking forward to attending the trunk show also….sounds like a night to drool!! See you soon!
