Welcome, Fall!

I wait for the first day of September all year long. I love Fall! This is the true beginning of the year for me. How better to celebrate than with a new knitting project, some new fiber to spin?

Sunday the 6th is our September Knit and Spin In. We’ll be open from 1:00 until 4:00 that day. Bring your yarn, your fiber, your wheel, your spindle and plan to have a good time!

Monday the 7th is Labor Day, and Yarn Expressions will be closed. If you’re in the greater Huntsville area and are looking for something to do that evening, I’d like to recommend the final Concert in the Park for the year. Held at Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville, the music begins at 6:30, and my husband’s big band, the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra, is playing the second set. Since this is a holiday concert, I’m pretty sure there’ll be fireworks afterward. These concerts always are a lot of fun. I’ll be there, somewhere in the crowd — look for the knitting!
